Pre - Launch Announcement.

We will be launching new products to place your pictures on using innovation and the latest technology. We need your thoughts on the different products we intend to launch.

Acrylics - clear or frosted acrylic boards and sandwiches with your images. From desktop sizes to huge wall sizes.

Outdoor - printing on canvas, acrylic or vinyl that can placed outside. For example acrylic pictures in the garden - either one of ours or your own photo’s.

Banana Displays - printed images on a board which when erected bends away from the wall - again in a large selection of sizes and either from your own photo’s or from one of our images.

Wallpaper - create your own wallpaper for a wall or entire room. For example one our personalised images placing your name on the Hollywood Hills going across the entire wall. Again use your own photo’s too.

We have a few other bits and pieces in the pipeline which we will tell you about closer to the time of launch. Have you any good ideas, share them with us.

The full list of images that have been created for personalisation is now available. Use these images for everything from greetings cards, calendars, front covers or anything you can conjure up with your imagination. Linhof and Studio has once again teamed up with five other leading figures in the industry to put together the must-see event of this year’s Focus-on-Imaging.

Presented by Linhof and Studio, BJP, Alpa of Switzerland, Light & Land and Ag, The Hub was a new concept for the annual show at the NEC last year. The companies have their exhibition stands around a central hub area and this is where they will host a programme of free seminars at Stand Q26.

Details of the varied seminar programme are now listed and include talks by Charlie Waite, Rhubarb Rhubarb and many more and cover a range of subject matters from Large Format techniques, Digital and Publishing to name a few.

The British Journal of Photography will curate the Hub seminar programme and you can book your place by emailing Fotoulla Michael at bjp.sales@bjphoto.co.uk with ‘focus talk bookings’ in the subject line.

ALPA of Switzerland will be joining us at the Hub this year and promise the first glimpse of the ALPA 12 Max Prototype. They promise to bring over a few more exciting product launches so don’t miss this opportunity to see Together with their full range of cameras , they will be on hand throughout the show to answer all your questions.

The Linhof Studio will be on hand with their usual extensive range of toys ! Linhof Hensel Bergger Lotus Shen Hao and numerous accessories for Analogue and Digital.

In addition we will be joined by a representative of Silvestri Cameras at THE HUB. From Focus , The Linhof Studio will be the official UK importer of Silvestri cameras and a selection of products will be available .

Stand visitors will also be able to take advantage of special show deals at THE HUB and take a look at new product launches from all the manufacturers.

Our very popular FREE photo album creation software has been enhanced to incorporate some great new features.

The changes are firstly quality changes at our end giving even better quality. We have also added new functions in the photo adjustments tool. Click on the spanner icon in the editor and you will now have the ability to control contrast and brightness, flip the picture horizontally and vertically and a nice new feature is the ability to add shadow to your pictures. Another great new feature is the edit photo tools which is accessed by double clicking on any of your pictures in the editor. This now has the ability to use masks which allow design features to be used such as the heart mask which places the picture inside a heart shape. Try it and see how you can design even better albums. We have also enhanced the preview screen giving you a better feel for the complete book, it really is now a proof of your book.

Who is going to be first to offer the 360 degree tour picture sets for weddings or events. A growing phemonenen in the US but not actually being offered widely to clients in the UK. Good quality DVD memory pakages seem to be slow to take off in a quality format. Let us know if you offer these services so we can pass them on to our customers.
